Ramiro Ruiz was born in Colombia. He received a B. A. in Philosophy and Literature from the University Pontificates Bolivariana. He is also a specialist in Educational Planning and Personalized Education. He has taught at the university and high school level. He also worked as a school superintendent and assistant principal. He holds an AMI Elementary Montessori certificate. Ramiro has been at TRIS since 2010.
Zeda Suswal was born in New Jersey and lived there until she was a teenager. She has lived in many places since including, most recently, Chicago, Illinois. There she taught in the public schools as a Special Education teacher for 5 years and went on to discover the beauty of Montessori and worked as an assistant for 3 years in a 6-9 classroom. Her passion for teaching children began overseas many years ago when she spent the summer working in China. She went on to continue teaching in other countries like Venezuela and Italy prior to working in the public schooling system. She has completed a BA in Psychology, a MA in Education and has her AMI diploma for Montessori Education. She joined TRIS in 2016.
Laleh Martin was born in Tehran, Iran. Her family fled the country to resettle in Paris, France when she was an infant. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in law and economics from Ecole Nationale de Commerce, she moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where she spent two years studying Swedish and Scandinavian literature at Stockholm's Folk Universitet. In the U. S. since 2003, she earned a B.A in Journalism from San Jose State University. She worked for three years as a tech reporter for the Red Herring. Laleh has a passion for foreign languages, Russian literature and Greek mythology. She started at TRIS in 2016.
Ruth Castañeda is from Mexico City. She is a credentialed Elementary Teacher with a B. A. in Special Education in hearing and speech. She has a Master’s degree in Educational Research. She worked as Speech Therapist and as a Special Education teacher for deaf children and young adults. She is an interpreter in Mexican Sign Language. She came to us with 23 years of experience as a Special Education and Elementary teacher in Mexico. She is a certified Elementary Montessori guide ages 6 to 12. Ruth started working at TRIS in January of 2004.
Mohamed Belaiche “Mo” joined TRIS in 2016. He was born and raised in the North of France. In 2009 he moved to Louisiana, in the Cajun country. He worked in three different education places prior to California including France, UK and Louisiana. He has been teaching for over 15 years and he really enjoys teaching other languages. He loves the fun of teaching another language in an environment that embraces multiple language immersion. He appreciates the challenges of a place where students are speaking and learning three different languages. Also he has a bachelor in Science of Education at University of Charles de Gaulle in 2004. He graduated in Maîtrise "Didactique & Ingénierie du français langue étrangère et seconde" at Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale in Boulogne sur mer, France. During his free time he enjoys playing and coaching tennis. He looks forward to guiding his students in this academic year at TRIS.
